Invitation-Regulation 2018

 “CENTRUL DANIEL” ASSOCIATION BACĂU launches the 7th edition of The International Pop Music Festival For Children and Youngsters ’’STAR Among Stars’’ Bacău, Romania.               The festival will be held between October 12 to 13.
The festival is an interpretation contest which intends to discover and launch children and young pop music interpreters.
The contest will be held during 2 days: Friday October 12 and Saturday October 13, 2018.
The Gala Awards and the Festival’s party will be held on Saturday 13 2018.

Terms and conditions of participation 
Children and young interpreters are invited to take part in competition in the following sections:
    A.    Interpretation - Singers
1st Category :  4 - 6 years
2nd Category  : 7 years
3rd Category : 8 years
4th Category: 9  years
5th Category: 10 years
6th Category: 11 years
7th Category: 12 - 13 years
8th Category: 14 - 15 years
9th Category: over 16  years

B.     Interpretation - Vocal groups

* for sections A and B songs from the Romanian and international repertoire can be presented.

C.    The Centenary section

Pop music dedicated to the Centenary – only songs from the Romanian repertoire are accepted (the songs can be categorized as ethno, ethno-pop, pop music in Romanian). Grupele de vârstă se vor  stabili in functie de numărul de concurenți înscriși in concurs. Age groups will be based on the number of competitors enrolled in the contest.

The songs presented during the festival must be live with recorded orchestral backing-track, on digital support. The orchestral backing-track (negative) may contain backing vocals (vocal groups) as long as they don’t include main vocal line dubbing. The song must express the children’s concerns and aspirations.
The prize winners of previous edition may join the competition only if they changed the age category.
If at enrollment in the competition there will be songs that repeat on the same age category, those contestants will be asked to send a second song!

The program and the order of entering the contest will be set by the organizers and will be posted online in time on the festival’s blog and on its Facebook page and also each day on the stage. All participants will be allowed to rehearse on stage in their order of arrival according to the program displayed. The rehearsal time of each interpreter can’t exceed 1 minute.
All competitors and other rights holders will have to authorize the using of photos and any other audio and video materials taken during rehearsals, competition, gala premieres and backstage for the official website of the festival. This rule applies to any other product made by our Association.


FESTIVAL  ENROLLMENT
Each competitor will send until September 28 2018 on steaprintrestele@gmail.com (ATTENTION: the yahoo email address IS NO LONGER available), the following documents :
a) application form
b) copy of birth certificate
c) 
1 forefront photo (. jpg )
d) the negative of the song that will be interpreted during the festival
e) composer’s agreement/solemn declaration (in absence of agreement);
f) copy of the donation receipt for the festival worth 200 RON  at the individual / Centenary section and 250 RON at the  group section;
This donation must be deposited in the account RO82RNCB0026030907950001 opened at BCR Bacau – Asociaţia “CENTRUL DANIEL”  up to September 28 2018 mentioning “festival donation” and “competitor’s name”. Those who do not pay until the deadline will be disqualified. The donation and the documents are not refundable.

Lists of children / youngsters admitted to the competition will be displayed until October 5 2018 on the festival’s blog (http://steaprintrestele.blogspot.ro/) and on the Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/steaprintrestele/).    


JUDGING

Like every year, we are happy to have with us a jury of professionals, which have always had a statement in Romanian musical life.  The jury decisions are irrevocable and can not be appealed.
Ranking represents the hierarchy of grades awarded to the participants by the jury, this way: the jury will calculate the average of grades obtained after the removal of two (the highest grade and the lowest grade). The jury reserves the right to not grant or to redistribute the prizes. 

The gala dress code is mandatory for the award ceremony.
Competitors will wear the outfit they performed in during the festival.

(1st, 2nd, 3rd , 4th, 5th, 6th categories, including groups and Centenary)

Teenager Trophy -

 (7th, 8th and 9th categories, including groups and Centenary)

For each section there will be awarded The Category Trophy - 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place Winners  and Mentions. It will be given a trophy, a diploma and a prize money. And special awards may be granted depending on options of the press, television and radio or similar organizations, supported by sponsors.


Final Disposition:
a. All participants will sign a statement that confirms the fact that they have read the terms and conditions for the festival’s organizing and that they comply with the regulation during the entire festival.
b. Both competitors and their attendants must have a decent behavior, be careful not to harm or make damages, and to comply with all the stipulations of the Regulations.
c.  Breaking the Regulations  results in elimination from the competition.
